After a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Lisa Faith is back with her new show Faith in Love.
From hanging with Joey Ramone at CBGB’s and dancing with Bette Midler & Mick Jagger in their Beast of Burden video to the power of a great love letter, Lisa weaves her “wildly funny” (The Huffington Post) stories of love with humor and song. Sean Mahony is on piano.

best 10 CD of 2016 by Ben Ratliff for The New York Times. The Jazz Journalist Assotiation, Downbeat and All
Music also included this work among their best jazz recordings of the year. The Quintet will be presenting the
new material that will be included on their next CD.

A native of Taiwan, New York based-vibraphonist Yuhan Su’s second album A Room Of One's Own is an

Award from 2016 Golden Indie Award in Taiwan. The Yuhan Su Quintet returns to Cornelia with new music

Joanne Loewy is a researcher, clinician and the Director of the Louis Armstrong Center for Music & Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. She will be joined by Grammy-award singer-songwriter Julie Gold in tonight’s program.
Music has been a force, at the intersection of science, nature, ritual, and art, since the beginning of recorded time. Music has historically served as an overture for war (and football games) but also has enriched more positive social events -- of peace, in prayers, and for celebrations. And research on music's influence in medicine has moved forward, as investigators reveal the potent impact of music's capacity to influence the heart beat, and respiratory rate. The significance of the lullaby as a primary nurturance mechanism in neonates facing critical care will be shared by Joanne Loewy. She will show the impact of live rhythm and lullaby on infant vitality and parents' stress level.
Julie Gold will reveal the impact of song on society, as she shares her "From a Distance"
-which was released during the Iraq war, and her medical 'de-stress' tune reflecting her experience of 'The Waiting Room'

Cornelia Street Cafe, with it's Django at Cornelia Street series, celebrates the music of Django Reinhardt by
featuring some of the finest gypsy jazz bands and other musicians influenced by the legendary gypsy
guitarist. Featured this month will be New York's own Dan Levinson. Joined by the host Koran Agan, Dan
Levinson will perform repertoire of Django Reinhardt's compositions as well as some some standards favored
by Django.
Equally at home as both leader and sideman, Dan Levinson’s roster of musical associates includes such names
as Mel Tormé, Wynton Marsalis and Dick Hyman. Originally from Los Angeles, Dan has been based in New York
since 1983, although his busy schedule often takes him across the continent and around the world. He has
performed in Brazil with filmmaker Woody Allen’s band, as well as in Japan, Iceland, Latvia, and eighteen
European countries.

Vocalist and radio host Mary Foster Conklin celebrates Women’s History Month with a new project: “A
Broad Spectrum – Chapter 2: Women, Jazz & Blues,” honoring women lyricists and composers of jazz
standards and classic blues. Included in the evening will be songs by Lil Green, Alberta Hunter, Sippie
Wallace, Peggy Lee, Annie Ross, Nancy Hamilton and many others. Come for the music, stay for the stories.
Mary, a tireless ‘song hound,’ has done many shows highlighting women writers both past and present
and this is her latest take on the subject. Her recent recording, PHOTOGRAPHS was released in 2016 to
critical acclaim and worldwide airplay. She hosts a weekly radio show called “A Broad Spectrum – the Ladies
of Jazz” on WFDU HD2. “Scratch her witty tough-girl-from Jersey patter and you’ll find a sensitive artist
(but not frail) with a wide-ranging boldly colored voice and an open ear for off-beat material.” The Washington

Paul Jost is an eclectic artist. A vocalist, drummer, arranger and composer who performs frequently in
New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey along with recent tours in South Korea, Ireland and Germany. In New
York, he can be seen on the last Wednesday of the month at 55 Bar and he performs frequently at SMOKE and
other venues. His solo CD Breaking Through (Dot Time Records) continues to receive raves worldwide. One of
his originals, “Book Faded Brown”, is a song he is honored to have had recorded by The Band, Rick Danko and
Carl Perkins. Paul can be heard on SiriusXM Radio along with The Jost Project, Can’t Find My Way Home (Dot
Time Records) that features Tony Miceli, Kevin MacConnell, Doug Hirlinger performing classic rock in a jazz
format.
